WOOD CUT PRINT

Woodcut Print, first appeared in the 8th century in the East and in the early 15th century in the West, and is the earliest known method of relief-printing. Using this traditional technique, the design is first painted onto the wood block. Then the surface of the wood is cut away, leaving a raised surface, that will be inked. A sheet of paper is then laid over the wood block and run through a press. The whole process must be kept pristinely clean to produce a good print.

Each of these artworks are painstakingly designed with precision and exquisiteness. They are HAND CARVED & HAND PRINTED and signed to verify that each artwork meets rigorous quality standards.
